OOPS!

Hamas? F#@K

this has got to be one of the biggest "be careful what you wish for" ive seen in a long time:(

Be not angry that you cannot make others as you wish them to be, since you cannot make yourself as you wish to be. ~Thomas à Kempis, Imitation of Christ, c.1420

Pussy

ok, that is a bit harsh and i do feel a little bit sorry for this guy....having to go in front of the media everyday and in front of the US and answer the questions, that our GW dosent want to answer until he has got someone to write him a good excuse.
but you know what sucks, really, is that this guy, scott mcclellan, knows that!! and purposefully stalls and or lies (this is documented at least to the white version and mom always said that those were as bad) to us, the american people, and since when did things like this mean so little??? so i take that first part back....he is a pussy

vikings

i got a message from my buddy thomas today about the vikings gig he was up for. thomas is the director of college scouting for the patriots, and was up for the "GM" job with minnesota. he interviewed yesterday morning and after a day of fact gathering he withdrew his name from the race, electing to stay in boulder and with the pats... im glad he got the opportunity to interview and am proud of my vegan buddy making it to the top echelon of the NFL...its gonna happen soon:)

indy review

it was one of those weekends... stayed in and navigated through some indy films. "safemen" was a hoot,
i dig steve zahn of "happy texas" fame. "sundays" was a very odd but sweet love story, good film. "im trying to break your heart" a documentary about the band, wilco, was a great character study of jeff tweed... fun to watch this film if you have friends in the music biz. next one, "joe the king" involved val kilmer, in a depressing look at low income life.

filthy oboe

back in tulsa this weekend, always have fun with the gang. blakey was in from boulder so it was good to see her, hung out one night with lovely jesse and her new beau, josh, at his bar mercury... got by the house and hung with jeff, saw sean and congratulated him on the projected "frank", hung with the folks and watched a little football. robert, as always, was a great host and now he has a pretty side kick to look at:)

pisser

remember when you were young and you could hold your pee for more than 15 minutes? i mean when you really had to go, but you could last the whole game, or through the movie, recess or bus ride home, finally to get home and sit down to have the milk and cookies mom laid out for you. so you make it to the bathroom, just to get distracted by the way the door stopper makes this cool noise when you bend it and let it go....

now if you pee once at the bar your stuck with a beer/pee ratio of 1to1:(

Austin Revisited

i used to live in Austin... while i coached at texas... i was a meat-head then, but even so i knew it had something special to offer. well i got to spend new years '06 in Austin Texas, which is by far the grooviest/ most expensive town in texas. my good friends matt and betsy have lived there for the last year, so i got to see them in their new environment and with all their groovy friends.. we spent the night at a house party with the lovely hostess, jennifer and then walked down the the jonny cash bar " mean eyed cat" all to end up with a late night bike ride:)

it was very cool to see so many people out on the streets, walking riding, etc. progressive towns seem to breed an active mindset or is it just that these are the people who can afford all of the gear/time?? anyways a nice break from sleepy denton.
